A taste of Exantis

Many of the flights to Crete arrive late in the evening. A time when it can be difficult to find shopping opportunities on the way to the Villa. It may also be nice not to have to think about shopping when you have just arrived.

Together with the only shop in Exantis we are able to provide a welcome basket with food and drinks for the first evening and morning.

We have tried to include as many locally produced items as possible to make the welcome basket an introduction to the farm products of Exantis. So if one likes the homemade bread or marmalade one can always slip down to the village to see if there is more where it came from...

For the first evening when it is time to 'settle down' after the journey we have put a bottle of Cretan white wine and 1,5 litres of water in the fridge and delivered peanuts, locally produced raisins and other snacks for a cosy moment on the terrace.

For breakfast, we have included coffee beans for filter coffee, a small tin of Nescafe and a pack of Earl Gray tea, sugar and milk for coffee / tea and 1 litre of orange juice.

There is honey, butter and homemade orange marmalade made from the oranges in the valley and eggs from the chicken in the village, and a freshly baked, homemade bread.
In addition, there is spread cheese and a local mild cheese.

Depending on the season there will also be local fruits and vegetables. It could be tomatoes, cucumbers, grapes, oranges, melons and other locally harvested products.

Everything will be prepared and delivered on the day of arrival from the small shop Monadiko in Exantis at a price of 40 euros.

The goods that requires cool storage, will be put in the fridge. The rest in a basket which you return to the shop when you visit the village.
At the same time you can pay for the goods.

The welcome basket should be sufficient for approx. 4 persons. We can not meet special requests or changes to the content.

Gift Voucher included in the Welcome Basket

For those who buy our welcome basket we include a gift voucher of 17 euro, which can be used at the local Restaurant Exantas. For a dinner, an afternoon drink and snack or whatever you like.
